About the Blogmaster
Tim Maddog was abducted by aliens several years ago and is now secretly blogging from an island where even the domestic media doesn't know its name.
Before his abduction he helped to create The Sedition Commission, actively opposed an infamous racist political candidate, hosted his very own weekly radio show (where he was threatened by backers of the aforementioned candidate), and fought the College Republicans singlehandedly. During the 1980s and 90s he published the 'zine Vital Information.
Tim Maddog is an atheist, a vegetarian, a non-drinker, and a bicyclist. If you don't use your rear view mirror when driving alongside him, he will rip it off of your car with his bare hands. If you're an extra-large uniformed soldier, and you crash your motorcycle into him, be prepared for an ass-whoopin'. He's a Maddog! On the other hand, if you smile at him, he'll smile back at you. The name of the rap?
The name of this blog comes from the title of a rap done by Tim Maddog on The Sedition Commission's An Ambient Boot to the Head. Listen to it online here.
Maddog Quotes
* Question everything -- especially this.
* My race is human. What's yours?
* They cannot control us!
* Part of the real secret is that "us" includes you.
* Ignorance is bliss, and I'm pissed.
* I only eat live meat.
* Everything in moderation -- even moderation itself. (...though I'm apparently not the first to have said it.)

My Taiwan shitlist
Be careful with these motherfuckers who disguise themselves as "journalists." They're armed with memes like "renegade province" and aren't afraid to use them. If any of 'em ever see me, they'd better get on the other side of the fucking street.

A Devil Named Pat and His 666 Club
I can't endorse this!
For as long as I can remember, I've thought that televangelist Pat Robertson was evil incarnate. In the early 1990s, I produced a recording which collaged audio from a "700 Club" broadcast about "standard[s] of decency" and "maintain[ing] a civilized society" and laid it atop an eerie bed of ambient bass guitar, Indian bells, windchimes, and backward 12-string guitar. The title I gave that piece was "A Devil Named Pat and His 666 Club." [LINK UPDATED. AUDIO NOW ONLINE.]
Robertson has repeatedly proven himself to be just as evil as my earlier impressions suggested, and today he did it yet again.
Don't kill 'em all, Pat'll make those decisions
Yahoo! News reported earlier today that Robertson suggested on his hate-fest-of-a-program Monday that Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez should be assassinated. According to the Yahoo! article, these are some of the words that spewed from Robertson's filthy mouth:
What is anarchy?
If Pat Robertson can say things like that on the air, then "society [has broken] down into [the] absolute anarchy" that he described in the audio segments I used in "A Devil Named Pat and His 666 Club" -- and it's his own damn fault.
Christianity is stupid!

UPDATE: Video (QuickTime .MOV format) of Robertson making these statements is available online via Media Matters.

We have the ability to take [Chavez] out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. [...] We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. [...] It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with. [Emphasis mine]Isn't that special?

The "Bulletgate" links
Despite the recent paucity of posts on this blog (blame it on the summer workload), Michael Turton's Friday blog roundup kindly links back to me in reference to my multi-part "shootdown" of the deceitful pan-blue document known as "Bulletgate."
"Bulletgate" is a bunch of lies that were packaged by Taiwan's opposition political parties and distributed to members of the U.S. Congress as part of a propaganda campaign designed to convince the public that Taiwanese president Chen Shui-bian had himself and his running mate Annette Lu shot the day before the 2004 presidential election here in order to "win sympathy votes" and steal the election. If not for the pan-blue echo chamber that Taiwan calls its "media," it would have been the pan-blues shooting themselves in the metaphorical feet (shoved deep into their big mouths and wrapped in "black gold"). Instead, outlets like the China Times are still trying to make readers think that they're in the minority if they don't believe that Chen and Lu's 2004 election victory was all part of a vast pan-green conspiracy.
The info to which Michael refers is semi-hidden over in the sidebar and in the archives, so in case anyone has followed his link here looking for it, I'll make it easier for you to find.
Here are the 20 installments of Shooting down "Bulletgate" that I wrote before I grew weary of beating that dead horse:
Identifiers: Taiwan, Chen Shui-bian, pan-blues, Bulletgate
